Carpenter

Who you are……

If you are a skilled carpenter that enjoys taking up new challenges and working on a diversity of projects and locations, this might be the role for you.

The ideal candidate would have experience in first and second-fix carpentry and knowledge of various carpentry techniques.  Good communication and organisational skills will make the perfect candidate.

Responsibilities

Working with us you will be responsible for the layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining of various structures, fixtures, and buildings.  Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client’s requirements.

The right candidate should be able to: –

  • assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation
  • conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required
  • assess the quality of woodwork and materials
  • operate tools, machines, and other equipment
  • comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
  • provide excellent customer service
  • stand for prolonged periods
  • climb, pull and lift heavy objects.

Foreman

Who you are……

If you are a competent working Foreman, able to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites, being the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, then this might the job for you.

The ideal candidate would have a solid background in construction, leadership skills and extensive experience that would have given you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions.  You must be well-organised and favour safety above everything else.

Responsibilities

Working with us, you will be responsible for: –

  • coordinating tasks according to priorities and plans
  • producing schedules
  • monitoring attendance of crew
  • allocating general and daily responsibilities
  • supervising and training workers and tradespeople
  • ensuring manpower and resources are adequate
  • guaranteeing all safety precautions and quality standards are met
  • supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
  • resolve problems when they arise
  • report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
